Here is a glimpse of last Friday

As promised, we went to CRISIS HOME. Believe me ppl! We had a great time! Here is a msg from the president. As i can't relay the msg better than myself :D

Here goes:

Hey Guys!

Well done with the effort and commitment in Crisis Home so far. I am sure they are blessed with our presence there and they are happy to see us too. As soon as we arrived there, some of them recognized us as we were there before. The surprising part is..we were not there for almost 6months. And they could actually remember when were the last time we came. What I could sense is, there were not many people visiting them all this while. Mr. Isaac mentioned that there were a group of young adults called off the trip to Crisis Home because they were not ready. He said we were all brave to take up this step and thank us for our support. They all were touched when Desmond prayed for them before we leave. Desmond used the word "FRIEND". Yes, they are not a patient to us but a friend to you and I. Just as it reminds me of the song "I am a friend of God".

I truly agree with what Mr.Isaac had mentioned, "When a person is confirmed with cancer, people gave an extra care to the person but when a person is confirmed with HIV positive, people neglects them".

Just a brief updates on what had been going on in Crisis Home so far:

1. The residents around the home has put a complaint to the government to close the home. However, in order for them to do so, they are going against the human rights. Therefore, they attacked them by issuing a complaint letter that the layout of Crisis Home is illegal. To cut the story short, Mr. Isaac have to tear down some part of the dorms and to shift some of the Crisis Home residents to another home. Some of them who are currently in Crisis Home are sleeping on the floor due to the space limited. They are not allowed to go out to the working place to work due to their health status. In other words, their daily life there are basically a routine.

2. Crisis home is given a basic fund of RM800 a month. Their expenditures per month basically runs by faith. Somehow, there were funds coming in to support them every month to carry on the home. It is by God's grace that this home could continue no matter how tough the situation is.

3. In 2009, some of them had passed away. If you actually realized, some of the faces were not around. If you wana know who, you can ask me. Of cause, not all of them. Some are also admitted in hospital and back home to see their children. The indian boy who was there during our last visit had gone to further his studies in photography. Thank God for that.

4. I am impressed by the photo found in this magazine. His name is David from Crisis Home too. Check this out:

David is a very nice person and he could speak english very well. Thank God for his condition today because according to his history health record, he could not live for any longer. But by looking the picture, he is getting much healthier than before. He suffered in skin disease and lost a lot of weight due to HIV.

As you can see, they try to live the best as they can. God does not bring us down through challenges! INSTEAD He provides us strength and knowledge to overcome those challenges to make me worthy!:D

So do come along and join us next time! Lets us reach out to others as Jesus reached out to us :D God bless u wonderful ppl :D
